Can I share my lunch with you?

Happy Friday! Hello fall.
It's been blissfully mild so far and the trees look beautiful with their multi colored leaves.
I hope it remains a friendly season :)

It's true, the holidays are around the corner.
I'll add some Christmas & holiday cards to my Etsy shop next week,
but for the next few days (thru Sun Nov 9th)

everything ... plus Free Delivery. Just click - AllynHoward to grab your deal

* This is a small sampling of what's in my shop *

It's probably obvious that much of my work is inspired by springtime,
the colors, flowers blossoming, birds singing
... that kind of thing.
However, I do love fall and even wintertime (sometimes).
New York City is especially magical during the holiday season.
I'm happy, just as long as I have on enough layers to stay warm.

mugs, rather mug (double sided- see who's on the other side)

cards and more, yes more :)

Thanks for stopping by!
I really appreciate you guys visiting Blipadee to read my posts
and those of you who just take a peek to see what I'm up to each week.
It means a lot to me. Enjoy your weekend.

For the Love of Gingham, Florals, Vintage & Critters

Hi and Happy Monday!
Here are some of the latest products available in my online shop -

I created these characters in Lilla Rogers' course MATS 3A,
which I wrote about last month, in several posts.
I decided these guys were cute enough to use on some products.

Kitsch-y bear and chipmunk are based on a couple of pieces from my
collection of ceramic animals.
You can view some of those in an earlier post or on my Instagram stream.

I just ordered the Hello Love pillow and bag for myself.
Yes, that's how much I like it and the quality of these products is fantastic.

The prints on paper have a nice border and the canvas prints run to edge.
All products available in Society 6 shops are offered in a variety of sizes.

I rarely use white as a background, but I think these little characters
look sweet on it.

and here they are on a darker background -

Hope you find something you might want for yourself or that great kid in your life!

Here's a puppy and a pear for your time ;)

Look what came today! More bags ... outstanding quality.

Have a swell week!

Gone Fishing

This is little Lou, Louanne. She's more defined and sports a tackle jacket
in the finished piece below.
I haven't submitted anything to Illustration Friday in a long time, but
I follow along on Facebook.

Kitty and Lou

It turns out, Thomas James, who currently runs the weekly challenge blog,
is off this week. In other words, Gone Fishing and so,
Marc Scheff has taken the helm and assigned this as the Topic for tomorrow.
It feels a little odd posting an illustration when the the topic for last week's challenge is still up,
Spark, but here I go.

I only have a handful of art that works for the theme and I noticed
I uploaded Tuggy and the Mice to IF in the past.
That leaves me with two cats who fish.

Above is Nice Catch, Cat! part of my Venice Animals series / story.
I went with Kitty and Lou because they are actively setting out to fish.
You might be asking yourself, why the explanation? why share artwork
we've seen on your blog before or
what I dream you are asking yourself right now-
why haven't you been published? Can I purchase your work?
where can I find more animals
fishing, playing, dancing, flying, whatever.... I WANT MORE

You can buy original paintings & tees from Blip Blop Shop on Etsy
or Prints & Products from my Society 6 Shop, Allyn Howard - $5 off each piece
and Free Shipping. I don't know how long that deal lasts, but looks good at the moment :)

My dad always enjoyed fishing.
The one time I went fishing with a group of friends,
I was one of only two people not to get sick out on the water.
Sadly though, I did not catch a single one.
Great from the fish's perspective!

Have a super weekend

Animal Characters at Work & Play

"There are no short cuts to any place worth going. " - Beverly Sills

:: It's Art Update Monday ::

Meet Harvey and French
New friends in my Animals at Work & Play series ...

This is Piglet and Trix. Piglet loves books and Trix loves Piglet.

Dining area turned humble studio, here are more animals ready for the big bright world!

Thought I'd share a few before & after pictures.
I know I'm not the 1st to express how tricky it can be to maintain
the charm and looseness of sketches in the finished piece.
We all try!

The Venice paintings starring Gustavo Gondolier are favorites of mine.
If you read my blog regularly, I'm sure you've seen the one above.
Below is a new addition -

Gustavo and others spot cat's big catch!

Mmmmmm  Meeee-YOW !

Now, meet Scuba Cat

It's not just fish she's finding, but treasure!

I suppose this could be a line for warm toasty Cronuts.
Whatever they're all waiting for, the suitcase is a mystery.
See something, Say something.
Say Anything.

Loosely based on a Holiday Magazine cover from 1959, I love this painting.
I'd like to have a vacation spot here in wherever it is Europe :)

This is a revised Yoga Bun. I like the lighter sketchy touch,
even though original Yoga Bun will remain close to my heart.

Here she is trying on her tops.

Above is a detail from Museum trip. I will one day (soon) complete or re-do this one!

This is little Louanne. She follows Claude Cat
for a day of fishing. You can find her in the post

and finally, more characters I've been working & reworking ...

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great week!
