Heat exhaustion and other delights of summer!

I haven't posted anything in a couple of weeks. It's been a very busy July and August. Not to worry, I have some fabulous new finds and profiles I'll be publishing here in the Fall :)
For now, pics from my neighborhood and beyond...

Nick's garden, above, looking great once again! Below, Mazzone Hardware's painted window, like the dog playing catch :)

Newly painted school play area. Nicely done!

505 Court Condos covered the back for restoration work.Yay!! In case, you missed last post, this building is attached to mine, so I was getting their dust without the benefits of a restored facade.

Below, views from Cinemagic Riverfront Studios, brand new stages, located right on the water in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's sooooo nice to walk out onto the water instead of a giant lot in the middle of nowhere!

Love the bright red of this building above and the sweet little mural below :)

Nice lunch deals at Peter Luger :D

Took this bakery truck pic while lost in some part of New Jersey. Still not sure how I found my way back ;) Not used to driving here, but excited to try out my Zip Car to work on location. I recently joined and this was my 1st trip in one of their cars. It was great! Easy to reserve online, flexible and the lot for pick-up is within walking distance from me. My Zip, some sort of Toyota, a variety from which to choose, had an E-Z pass and the gas and insurance is included :')

Nearing Brooklyn/Battery Tunnel, here the WTC site still under construction ... ... ...

From a little series of summer bunny paintings :)

Keep enjoying the sunshine!

  2. I've never been to Peter Luger's. Do you know what the lunch deal prices are? I don't see anything about a special deal on their website.

  3. Hey Amy,

Yes. I think the choices vary slightly each day, but I had prime beef w-vegetable and potato for $19.00. Much easier on the wallet than dinner:) I rarely eat red meat and this was absolutely delicious!

  6. Newly following you from Blog Farm! Your site looks very inspirational for an art student such as myself! Can't wait to give it some more attention after the morning errands are done!
